I am utterly flabbergasted right at this moment. I hate to say it but I feel that our culture would be better off if we were still segregated. During the time of segregation we had to deal with oppression from the whites, but now we have to deal with oppression from our own kind. I mean really...don't we already have enough to deal with not to add to our own struggles. It is so true...black people remind me of crabs in a barrel. Instead of helping each other out of the barrel we are too busy stepping over each other and pushing each other down. BET needs to be taken off the air like yesterday. There is nothing on that channel that promotes uplift of the black community. I haven't watched the channel in years and yet I still know it gets progressively worse with every passing day. Reality TV needs to be damned to Hell. I mean really you think its cool for your personal life and indescretions to be put on blast for the world to see. Whatever happened to "what goes on in my house stays in my house"? Yeah black people are watching and are entertained, but I guarantee that white people are laughing and saying "look at those coons". What happened to wholesome shows like the Cosby Show? Black people need to wake the hell up...and wake up now. We could really be a force to be reckoned with if we would only realize our potential and help each other instead of stepping on each other to get what we want.
